Accountant
Location: Washington, Tyne and Wear
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice in Washington, Tyne and Wear, seeking an Accountant to join their accounts department.
The role is varied and will include accounts preparation, corporation tax (CT600s), management accounts, bookkeeping and VAT returns, with occasional audit work (approximately 8–10% of workload).
Key Requirements:
Previous experience within an accountancy practice
Experience in accounts preparation and UK tax compliance
Good knowledge of bookkeeping and VAT
Audit experience beneficial but not essential
Familiarity with software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
Qualifications:
AAT qualified or part-qualified, or ACCA / ACA part-qualified or qualified
Qualified by experience candidates considered
