My client is looking for a skilled and dependable MIG Welder to join their well-established and highly regarded fabrication business, specialising in the production of structural steelwork for the agricultural construction sector.
This is a temporary, workshop-based position within a close-knit and supportive team committed to delivering high-quality steel frames and components. For the right candidate, there is the potential for this role to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on structural steel sections for agricultural building projects
Read and interpret fabrication drawings (training available if needed)
Operate overhead cranes and workshop machinery safely and effectively
Uphold high standards of quality and adhere to strict health and safety procedures
Skills & Experience Required
Proven MIG welding experience (structural steel experience is highly advantageous)
Ability to work from fabrication drawings (desirable)
Confident in the use of workshop tools and overhead cranes
Strong focus on safety and delivering high-quality work
A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
Other information:
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:30pm (with a half-hour unpaid lunch break)
Breaks: Additional paid mid-morning break
Pay rate: £16.00 per hour
Start date: 18th August or sooner
Location: Workshop-based, full-time position
Temporary with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate
