We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to deliver heavy industrial services projects, including shutdowns, maintenance, and site-based works. This self-employed position is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Lead projects from tender handover to close-out.
Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, and risk registers.
Control costs, margins, and change processes.
Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and quality standards.
Lead and mentor project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Manage client relationships and represent the business professionally.
Support tendering and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills:
Proven Senior Project Manager experience in
heavy industrial services
(mechanical, structural, piping, shutdowns, maintenance).
Strong project management, commercial, and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Health, safety, and quality knowledge.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
PM qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, APM).
Engineering/construction-related qualification.
NEC or similar contract knowledge.
Experience in regulated/high-risk industrial environments.
