Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to take a leading role in the tendering process and support the ongoing success of the business.

This is a senior, hands-on role offering real influence, ideal for an estimator who enjoys ownership, commercial challenge, and working closely with senior stakeholders.

As Senior Estimator, you will lead the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders, working collaboratively with senior management, project teams, clients, and supply chain partners. You’ll play a key role in risk assessment, commercial strategy, and compliance, ensuring submissions are robust and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates

  • Reviewing and analysing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation

  • Producing comprehensive take-offs and material quantities

  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing

  • Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions

  • Preparing, reviewing, and submitting tender documentation within deadlines

  • Leading prequalification submissions, including maintaining ISO compliance and managing industry accreditations

  • Supporting post-tender negotiations and providing clear handovers to delivery teams

  • Maintaining and developing estimating databases, rates, and cost benchmarks

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Senior Estimator or similar role

  • Strong technical understanding of construction and project delivery processes

  • Excellent ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • High level of commercial awareness and risk management capability

  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience working with main contractors and design teams

  • Knowledge of UK construction standards and regulations

  • Hands-on experience managing ISO accreditation and industry compliance submissions

  • Background in construction, engineering, or commercial management

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary package (dependent on experience)

  • Senior, influential position within a stable and growing organisation

  • Exposure to high-value, technically challenging projects

  • Long-term career development and progression opportunities

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator looking to step into a key senior role within a supportive and ambitious environment.
