Audit Senior – Leeds
A growing professional services firm is seeking a qualified Audit Senior to join its expanding audit team, supporting clients across Leeds and the wider Yorkshire region. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced auditor looking for clear career progression, within a supportive and people-focused environment.
The role
The Audit Senior will:
· Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion
· Complete audit work on key risk areas
· Act as the primary point of contact for clients during audits
· Review work prepared by junior team members
· Prepare statutory accounts (primarily under UK GAAP) and tax computations
· Ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently met
· Coach and support junior staff
· Assist with billing and identify opportunities for additional services
The position is predominantly client site-based, with flexibility around base office location.
The ideal candidate:
· ACA or ACCA qualified
· Experience planning and leading external audits within practice
· Strong knowledge of FRS 102 (Charities SORP desirable)
· Confident in a client-facing role
· Able to manage audit assignments independently
· Strong communication and time management skills
Salary & benefits
· £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
· 37.5-hour working week with flexible working around core hours
