Our client is a well-established and highly reputable chartered accountancy practice based in Keighley, providing a full range of accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses (OMBs) and SMEs across the region. The Opportunity:

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant or Client Manager to join their friendly and professional team. This role offers excellent variety, autonomy, and flexibility for an ambitious individual who enjoys working closely with clients and managing their own portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

• Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns.

• Managing a portfolio of OMB/SME clients, acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day queries.

• Assisting with management accounts and providing insight to clients.

• Supporting and training clients on cloud accounting platforms (particularly Xero).

• Supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members.

• (Optional) Involvement in audit and/or personal tax work, depending on experience and interest.

About You:

• 5+ years of experience in practice (not industry), ideally within a firm that works primarily with OMBs and SMEs.

• Qualified (ACA / ACCA) or QBE with a strong technical background.

• Proven experience in accounts preparation and business tax compliance.

• Confident user of cloud accounting software (Xero preferred); able to support and train clients effectively.

• Strong communication and client relationship skills.

• Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing your own portfolio.

Desirable but not essential:

• Experience in audit and/or personal tax.

Working Arrangements & Benefits:

• Full-time preferred, but part-time / flexible hours will be considered (e.g. school hours).

• Hybrid working – up to 1.5 days per week from home (based on full-time hours).
