We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to take full responsibility for supervising our workshop bench joiners and overseeing the flow of bespoke joinery production. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all items move efficiently through the shopfloor while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Production Director, providing daily updates on production progress and individual items on the shopfloor.

  • Supervise and manage a team of workshop joiners, ensuring workloads are allocated effectively.

  • Oversee the production of bespoke joinery, ensuring all items meet design specifications and quality standards.

  • Read and interpret working CAD drawings to guide production and allocate tasks accurately.

  • Solve day-to-day production issues, proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks.

  • Plan and manage production schedules, ensuring deadlines and programmes are consistently met.

  • Liaise closely with site teams to coordinate installation timelines and production priorities.

  • Monitor and report on the progress of each item through the shopfloor on a daily basis.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in bespoke joinery manufacture.

  • Fully joinery trained with proven experience managing production teams.

  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings for shopfloor use.

  • Strong planning and programme management skills; highly deadline-driven.

  • Excellent supervisory and people management skills with a hands-on approach.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, able to make decisions quickly and confidently.

  • Experience in workshop production reporting and progress tracking systems.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methods.
