​My client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee factory operations for a leading innovator in the construction industry. The company is dedicated to redefining how modern construction projects are designed, manufactured, and delivered, creating high-quality, sustainable, and affordable solutions that meet the housing needs of the future.

The Production Manager will lead all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of construction units. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent people management skills, and a passion for lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day factory operations to achieve production targets, timelines, and quality standards.

  • Develop and implement production schedules, resource planning, and process improvements.

  • Motivate and manage a multidisciplinary production team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability.

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Collaborate with design, procurement, logistics, and installation teams to ensure seamless production flow.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and product quality.

  • Monitor and report key production KPIs, analysing performance and implementing corrective actions where needed.

  • Manage maintenance schedules for machinery, tools, and equipment.

  • Support the onboarding, development, and training of production staff.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or Factory Manager, ideally within construction, offsite building, or prefabrication.

  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, production planning, and quality assurance systems.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Experience using manufacturing software preferred.
