My client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee factory operations for a leading innovator in the construction industry. The Production Manager will lead all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of construction units. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent people management skills, and a passion for lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage day-to-day factory operations to achieve production targets, timelines, and quality standards.
Develop and implement production schedules, resource planning, and process improvements.
Motivate and manage a multidisciplinary production team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
Collaborate with design, procurement, logistics, and installation teams to ensure seamless production flow.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and product quality.
Monitor and report key production KPIs, analysing performance and implementing corrective actions where needed.
Manage maintenance schedules for machinery, tools, and equipment.
Support the onboarding, development, and training of production staff.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a Production Manager or Factory Manager, ideally within construction, offsite building, or prefabrication.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, production planning, and quality assurance systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experience using manufacturing software preferred.
