A family run Engineering company based in Stockton on tees is looking to recruit a full-time experienced Account & payroll Assistant to join our team.
The successful applicant will have exceptional organisational skills, using a professional and proactive approach to all aspects of this role. Attention to detail is a key attribute. Experience of Sage 50 Accounts & Sage 50 Payroll processing/administration experience is essential!
This busy role will include:
Sales & Purchase Ledger
Processing Sales Orders
Answering the phone and dealing with customer queries
Company credit card receipts
Filing and scanning documents
VAT preparation and submitting VAT returns
Monthly account journals
CIS subcontractors verifying and paying.
Payroll:
End to end processing of weekly and monthly payroll
Time and attendance reporting (wage costings)
Processing new starters and leavers for payroll purposes
Processing absences in line with statutory requirements and company policies
Processing company pension schemes ensuring compliance
Processing of other payroll deductions
Finalising payroll including submission, payments, pay slips, P45 and submissions to
HMRC
General / ad hoc office duties as required
The hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
