I am looking to recruit an Office Manager for my client who are based in Malton. The main responsibilities of the Office Manager are overseeing the day-to-day office function. As the ideal candidate, you will manage a small team of administrative and support staff and be responsible for implementing and maintaining procedures and administrative systems. You must be computer literate and knowledge with Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential.


Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the office in the absence of the General Manager
  • Data processing
  • Motivating and training administrative staff
  • Monitoring and responding to emails
  • Answering and responding to telephone calls
  • Maintaining company policies and procedures
  • Central point in the business for all members of staff
  • Liaising with customers
  • Liaising with field sales personnel

Key skills:

  • Highly motivated and organised with an eye for detail
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Have excellent record keeping skills
  • Computer literate-Microsoft word, Excel, Quickbooks, Sage
  • An understanding of basic marketing and social media would be an advantage
  • Friendly and approachable with the ability to fit into a small team
