We are currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity for Machine Operators to join a well-established company. Your role will be to operate production machinery and associated equipment efficiently and safely to achieve maximum output and maintain high product quality standards throughout the production shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a range of production machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Set up machines at the start of the shift and perform regular changeovers as required.
Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company specifications and quality standards.
Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, product non-conformities, or safety concerns to the Team Leader or Maintenance team.
Maintain accurate production records, including output data, downtime, and quality checks.
Follow health and safety protocols, wearing appropriate PPE and always adhering to site rules.
Assist with routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of machinery to ensure continued efficiency.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing ideas to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues across production and other departments to meet production targets and deadlines.
Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience operating production or manufacturing machinery in a fast-paced environment.
Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Good understanding of health and safety in a manufacturing environment.
Reliable, punctual, and a proactive team player.

12 hour rotational shifts
£14.50/ £16.50 per hour plus overtime
