Job Title: Legal Secretary

About the company:
My client, a successful and well-reputed legal practice based in York city centre, are now seeking a full-time Legal Secretary to join their busy team.
Key responsibilities:
• Providing secretarial and administrative support to the fee earners in the team
• Producing accurate legal documentation
• Daily filing – setting up new files and organising closure of completed files
• Requesting property searches/land registry searches
• Liaising with clients and dealing with third party queries
• Audio and non-audio dictation tasks
To be successful, candidates should have:
• A strong administrative background
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to prioritise tasks, organise their own workload and positively contribute to the team
• Some prior legal experience would be an advantage, but this is not required, as training will be given where necessary
Benefits:
• Salary of £24,000 dependent on experience
• 25 days holiday + statutory entitlements
