​Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking for your next challenge? We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing business in Darlington seeking a proactive and hands-on Health & Safety Advisor to join their busy team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is your chance to take ownership of your role, work directly with clients, and make a real impact.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical health and safety advice and support to a range of clients

  • Develop, review, and maintain policies, risk assessments, method statements, and other key documents

  • Conduct audits, investigations, and implement action plans to resolve issues

  • Support clients with accreditations such as CHAS, ROSPA, Safe Contractor

  • Engage with new clients and contribute to business development; sales experience or a willingness to sell is essential

  • Maintain client records in CRM systems and ensure proactive account management

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant Health & Safety experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Clean, full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate or Construction Certificate

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment

  • Detail-oriented, organised, and proactive

  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Professional, approachable, and able to build strong client relationships

Role Details:

  • Location: Darlington (with some travel in the North East)

  • Hours: Up to 40 per week, Monday to Friday

  • Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 per annum

  • Holiday: 28 days per year including bank holidays

  • 3-month probation

  • Must have the right to work in the UK
