​We’re recruiting for a forward-thinking company in Richmond, North Yorkshire, seeking a proactive SHEQ Manager to oversee Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality activities. This is an excellent opportunity to drive continuous improvement, embed best practices, and shape a safe, efficient, and sustainable working environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce SHEQ policies that ensure compliance with legal and industry standards

  • Conduct risk assessments, manage non-conformance, and implement corrective and preventative actions

  • Coordinate employee safety inductions and ongoing training programs

  • Ensure compliance with SHEQ-related accreditations (e.g., Achilles UVDB, ISO9001, ISO14001) and manage audits

  • Investigate incidents or accidents and oversee worker’s compensation claims where necessary

  • Capture, analyse, and report SHEQ performance data to drive improvement

  • Collaborate with operational teams to integrate SHEQ considerations across all projects and operations

  • Maintain, review, and continuously improve SHEQ documentation, processes, and procedures

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Professional qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH

  • Proven experience in SHEQ management, ideally in the Water or Construction sectors

  • Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills

  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and environmental regulations

Additional

Salary: Day rate on a self employed basis or a permanent contract
