​We are working exclusively with an award-winning, family-focused business in Northallerton, currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic General Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving and well-established leisure business, where you’ll work closely with the Directors to lead a dedicated team and drive continued success in a fun, fast-paced environment.

 

Position Details:

  • Full-time: 45 hours per week

  • Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday

  • Required availability until 7:15 PM on up to 4 out of 5 working days (Start times will be adjusted accordingly)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service and inspiring your team to maintain the same high standards.

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team – providing clear direction and motivation across daily and weekly operations.

  • Monitoring and improving team performance through regular feedback and hands-on support.

  • Managing labour, stock, costs, and overheads to meet business KPIs and financial targets.

  • Driving sales, setting targets, and supporting your team in achieving revenue goals.

  • Overseeing the upkeep and safety of all recreational equipment and facilities.

  • Ensuring compliance with all operational systems, procedures, and documentation.

  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.

  • Actively leading the team on the floor – this is a hands-on, customer-facing role.

  • Creating and managing staff rotas and processing payroll.

  • Supporting with social media content, responding to customer enquiries (phone/email).

  • Managing supplier relationships and overseeing inventory and ordering.

  • Having a strong understanding of food & beverage operations.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1+ years’ experience in a similar Assistant Manager, Duty Manager, or General Manager role within the leisure or hospitality industry.

  • Proven experience managing a team of 6 or more.

  • A passion for delivering exceptional service and creating a welcoming, energetic environment.

  • Confident leadership, initiative, and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.

  • Highly organised, efficient, and a proactive problem solver.

  • Willingness to lead by example and be actively involved in daily operations.
