Location: Newcastle

A growing professional services firm is seeking a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join its national Tax Consultancy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified tax professional to advance their career by leading technical work, supporting client relationships, and mentoring junior colleagues.

The Role

As a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager, you will work across corporate tax compliance and advisory engagements, providing expert support to clients and colleagues. Key responsibilities include:

Reviewing complex corporate tax computations prepared by junior staff.

Providing training, mentoring, and development support for Tax Assistants and Tax Seniors.

Monitoring client work progress, billing, and recoveries.

Assisting in delivering proactive tax planning advice to clients.

Liaising with clients and internal teams to ensure high-quality corporate tax compliance and advisory services.

Supporting recruitment, including graduate intake programmes.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will:

Be CTA qualified with a minimum of 2 years’ corporate tax compliance/advisory experience.

Hold a full UK driving licence.

Have experience delivering excellent client service and interacting confidently with clients.

Be skilled at mentoring and delivering tax technical training sessions to the team.

Possess strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across offices.

Experience with Alphatax is desirable but not essential.
