Are you working towards your AAT qualifications and looking for a dynamic role to kickstart or advance your career in accounting? My Billingham based client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team!
Responsibilities:
Input of purchase invoices to Sage 200 and bespoke job costing system
Maintaining purchase order list and liaising with relevant people for any queries
Matching of purchase orders to invoices
Maintaining the purchase ledger (including subcontract and umbrella labour supply)
Reconciling supplier statements
Providing payment lists to enable monitoring of cash flows
Making payments to suppliers and posting to purchase ledger
Maintaining cash books and reconciling to bank
Making credit card payments for online purchases
Checking and analysis of staff expenses and credit cards
Other information:
Hours of work 9am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday
23 days holiday (increasing to 25) plus bank holidays plus 3 days for Christmas closure
Salary circa £25,000.00 per annum based on experience
