We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing business in Billingham for an Administrator to support their busy office team.
This is an opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and a proactive mindset who is looking to build a long-term career.
While this role is heavily admin-focused, there is scope for development into a more technical estimating support role for someone with the interest and ability.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor shared inboxes
Organise and respond to emails promptly and professionally
Ensure project-related messages are flagged to the relevant team members
Log new project enquiries using internal systems (e.g. Trello)
Maintain and update internal registers with project timelines, key contacts, and relevant documents
Keep internal drives and folders tidy and well-organised
Request quotes from suppliers and track responses
Update internal pricing tools and product lists with accurate, up-to-date costs
Chase missing information as required
Assist estimators with handover documents and admin tasks
Support other departments with general administrative duties
Contribute to keeping all internal systems organised and up to date
About You
Highly organised and detail-oriented
Strong communication skills and a confident phone manner
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Previous admin experience in a busy office environment is beneficial
