The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and friendly accountancy practice based in central Harrogate. This is an excellent entry-level Accounts Trainee opportunity for someone local to Harrogate who is looking to begin a career in accountancy and has a genuine interest in the field.
This role would suit a school leaver or someone looking at an entry-level accounts position, with full training and support provided.
Key Responsibilities
· Assisting with the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
· Supporting with bookkeeping duties and maintaining accurate financial records
· Assisting with VAT returns and basic tax computations
· Working with accounting software and spreadsheets
· Providing general administrative support to the accounts team
· Learning and developing technical skills under the guidance of senior staff
Candidate Requirements
· Must be living in Harrogate or the immediate surrounding area
· A genuine interest in accountancy and finance
· Strong numerical and analytical skills
· Good attention to detail and organisational ability
· Willingness to learn and develop within the role
· Basic IT skills (Excel experience beneficial but not essential)
· A positive attitude and strong work ethic
