Job Description: Accounts Senior
Location: Pickering, York
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Senior to join a reputable accountancy practice in Pickering, York. This position is ideal for an AAT qualified professional or someone with equivalent experience in accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
•Preparation of year-end financial statements for a diverse client portfolio.
•Management of client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
•Handling complex accounting queries and providing expert advice to clients.
•Preparation and submission of VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
•Supporting and mentoring junior team members to ensure efficient workflow and development.
Skills and Qualifications:
•AAT qualified or qualified by experience
•Proven experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice
•Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
•Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage)
•Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients
