Our client, based in the beautiful Croft-on-Tees area, is looking to welcome a new member to their small and friendly accounts team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on, all-round accounts position with a good mix of responsibilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Managing the sales ledger and raising sales invoices
· Handling the purchase ledger, processing invoices, and arranging BACS payments to suppliers
· Performing bank reconciliations
· Preparing and submitting VAT returns
· Updating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
· Carrying out credit control
· Running payroll and arranging NEST pension contributions
· Communicating with customers and suppliers
· Supporting the external accountants at month-end and year-end
What we’re looking for:
· Proven experience using Sage
· Strong working knowledge of Excel
· Excellent communication skills
· A proactive, organised, and detail-oriented approach
· AAT Level 4 qualification is desirable, but not essential
· A full UK driving licence and access to your own car (due to office location)
