The Role
As Accounts Assistant Manager, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients and act as a key point of contact, ensuring high-quality service delivery while supporting and developing junior team members.
Key responsibilities include:
· Managing a growing portfolio of accounts clients and acting as main client contact
· Overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
· Managing VAT return preparation and compliance
· Reviewing and supporting the preparation of management accounts, forecasts and other advisory services
· Coaching, mentoring and training junior team members
· Supporting senior management with process improvements and operational efficiencies

Skills & Experience
· Currently operating at Senior or Assistant Manager level within an Accountancy Practice
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an accountancy practice environment
· Strong attention to detail and technical competence
· Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
· Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
· Professional approach to handling confidential information
· Well-organised with robust record-keeping practices
Qualifications
· ACA or ACCA qualified (or about to qualify)
· Strong background within accountancy practice is essential
