Practice Accountant
Location: Keighley
Salary: £35,000 – £50,000+ (Depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (Office-based)
A well-established and respected accountancy practice based in the Cross Hills area is seeking an experienced Practice Accountant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to work with a varied portfolio of clients and progress into a managerial role within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Working from both incomplete and computerised records
Preparation of company and personal tax returns
Reviewing the work of junior team members (in a supervisory/managerial capacity)
Managing your own portfolio of clients (for those stepping into or already at manager level)
Liaising with clients on day-to-day accounting and tax matters
Assisting with ad-hoc projects as required
Requirements:
ACA / ACCA qualified, or QBE with a minimum of 3 years’ practice experience
Solid understanding of UK accounting and tax regulations
Strong experience preparing accounts for a wide range of entities, including LLPs
High level of attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and client liaison skills
Experience with CCH, Xero, Sage, and Microsoft Excel/Word
Management accounts experience is desirable
