Job Title: Tax Manager/ Client Manager

Location: Whitby

Our clients who are a firm of Chartered Accountants with offices in Whitby and Redcar are looking to add a Tax/Client Manager to the team in Whitby. The clients have a modern approach with a blend of traditional values and are based in prime locations within both areas.

Overview:

Our clients are looking for a Tax Manager / Client Manager to join the team in the Whitby office Monday to Friday from 9am until 5.30pm with an hour for lunch.

The opportunity has arisen for a Tax/Client Manager in their Whitby office which consists of 16 other members of staff.

The main tasks and responsibilities of the role include:

· Competent tax individual to assist the partners with the completion of client tax returns

· The role will develop depending on experience to encompass the individual managing their own portfolio

· Business completing around 1200 Self-Assessment Tax Returns

Requirements:

· 5+ years’ experience

· Qualified CTA, ATT, ACCA, ACA

· Competent tax individual

· Ability to prepare accounts would be advantageous

· Must be able to use IRIS and QuickBooks as well as other cloud-based accounting software

· Experience of involvement in or leading on accounts

· Proven experience of owner-managed small to medium-business accounts preparation including statutory financial statements

· Exceptional organisational skills

· Proven experience of delivering excellent client service

· Be flexible and proactive in managing multiple priorities

· Have excellent communication skills and be confident speaking to clients face to face, over the telephone, and by email

· Must have excellent IT skills, including working knowledge of Excel

· The ability to check work for accuracy and have good attention to detail

· Be able to demonstrate your initiative to solve problems

· The ability to travel to clients’ premises as required

· It would also be desirable if the candidate had knowledge of accounting software packages such as Sage, IRIS and essentially you need to have Xero software experience
