Senior Manager – General Practice

Our client is a highly respected and rapidly expanding accountancy practice. They are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Senior Manager to take responsibility for a substantial and varied client portfolio within their growing North West practice. This is a rare and exciting opportunity offering a clear progression route to Director within 2–3 years, ultimately evolving into a Regional Lead position with responsibility for driving growth and transformation across the area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Portfolio Management:

    Oversee a diverse and significant client portfolio, ensuring exceptional service delivery and cultivating long-term, trusted relationships.

  • Leadership & Team Development:

    Mentor, motivate and develop a team of professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence and collaboration.

  • Business Growth:

    Identify and capitalise on opportunities to expand service offerings within existing accounts while supporting the acquisition of new clients.

  • Strategic Collaboration:

    Work closely with Directors and Partners to shape, refine and implement regional strategies aligned with the firm’s overarching objectives.

  • Change Management:

    Lead operational and strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, improving client satisfaction and strengthening the firm’s regional presence.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualifications:

    ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification practice experience.

  • Experience:

    A proven background in managing client portfolios and overseeing service delivery across audit, accounts and advisory functions.

  • Commercial Acumen:

    Strong ability to identify, assess and pursue commercial growth opportunities.

  • Leadership Skills:

    Excellent communication, people management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence teams and clients at all levels.

  • Ambition:

    Highly motivated to progress to Director level and play a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s regional growth strategy.

  • Regional Insight:

    An understanding of the North West economy and professional landscape is desirable.
