​Our client in Middlesbrough is seeking an experiencedSales Estimator / Account Managerto join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in internal sales, account management, or customer-facing sales, who is confident managing relationships while also providing accurate and competitive price estimates.

You will play a key role in supporting sales operations, acting as the main point of contact for customers, managing orders, and providing detailed quotations that help secure new business.

The role combines account management, internal sales, and estimating, requiring a proactive, organised, and customer-focused individual.Training will be provided on the estimating side, so candidates looking to develop this skill are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for customers, managing accounts and building strong professional relationships.

  • Understand customer requirements and provide accurate, competitive quotations for products and services.

  • Analyse costs, materials, labour, and overheads to prepare detailed and persuasive estimates.

  • Manage the end-to-end sales process including raising quotations, processing orders, and tracking deliveries.

  • Liaise internally with operations, and logistics teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment.

  • Provide product and technical information to customers, answering enquiries and resolving issues promptly.

  • Monitor sales pipelines, provide updates to the sales team, and identify opportunities for account growth.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including pricing, specifications, and sales contracts.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in internal sales, account management, or customer-facing sales.

  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills with attention to detail.

  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills.

  • Confident, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Team player with a professional demeanour and a problem-solving mindset.

Position: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
