I am working with a reputable client who are based in the rural area of the North Yorkshire Moors, close by to Helmsley as they are recruiting for a Sales Administrator to join their growing team on a full time and permanent basis.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and utilise a sound knowledge of our product ranges
  • First point of contact for all orders
  • Take full accountability for administering the sales order process from initial order to delivery/collection
  • Perform data entry with speed and precision
  • Pro-actively build customer relationships, working to exceed customer expectations at all times
  • Work effectively and supportively with the sales, buying, transport and production teams
  • Fully utilise all available internal systems to ensure the customer order is always accurate
  • Handle all customer issues and complaints in a sensitive and timely manner, elevating as and when appropriate
  • Act as a positive role model, recognising the value of team working, positively reinforcing co-operation, mutual support and commitment to the team
  • Any other reasonable request, within your capability, as required for the effective operation of the business


As the successful candidate you will have the following:

  • A good standard of education (GCSE’s, including Maths and English grade C or above or equivalent)
  • Proficient IT skills (including good experience of using Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Professional and confident telephone manner
  • Ability to challenge information and data to get the correct answer
  • Able to use initiative and make decisions
  • Logical thinker
  • Excellent attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
  • Patience and calmness in a busy, pressurised environment
  • Able to work at pace
  • Experience of working in a customer service/sales environment
