Are you looking for a new role in the Northallerton area?

 

I am assisting a Northallerton based client as they are recruiting for a Procurement and Production Planner to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. The position of Procurement and Production Planner requires strong business knowledge, a solid understanding of planning functions, and the ability to handle complex details in a fast-paced environment.

 

As the successful candidate, you will be proactive, organised, highly motivated, and self-driven. You should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial for this role.

 

Your duties will include;

·         Issue daily production plans

·         Review and adapt customer forecasts for production plans

·         Communicate production plan changes to key stakeholders

·         Attend daily and weekly production meetings with internal stakeholders

·         Regularly check and maintain finished stock levels

·         Ensure accurate planning parameters in SAP and review inventory holdings

·         Calculate packaging and raw material needs from MRP system and place supplier orders

·         Prepare, issue, maintain, and track purchase orders per company policies

·         Confirm purchase orders with vendors, including delivery details

·         Check for potential stock-outs due to delivery delays and expedite orders

·         Maintain material supply levels to meet daily production needs

·         Address daily issues from internal and supplier sources

·         Build good relationships with suppliers and cross-functional team members

·         Identify, report, and address slow-moving and obsolete raw materials with other teams

·         Address invoice errors with suppliers

·         Primarily office-based, with occasional out-of-hours calls

·         Provide general administrative support as needed

 

Desirable experience and skills:

·         Strong people and communication skills

·         Strong sense of urgency and of responsibility

·         Must be a team player and demonstrate experience working in a cross functional team environment 

·         Must have strong maths skills

·         Must have advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills

·         SAP experience is desirable
