Title: Payroll Clerk/Manager

Hours: Full or Part Time
Salary: £26,000 - £35,000, depending on experience
We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Clerk/Manager to join a Practice in Harrogate. This role involves preparing varied payrolls accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll preparation, with the ability to work either full-time or part-time (3-4 days a week).
Accountancy Practice or dealing with large/varied payrolls is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
•Prepare and process payroll for clients of various sizes
•Ensure accurate calculations of wages, deductions, and withholdings.
•Handle payroll discrepancies and resolve payroll-related issues promptly.
•Maintain payroll records and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulations.
•Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure payroll processes align with organizational goals.
•Stay updated with payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
•Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role.
•Proficiency in payroll software and systems
•Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance.
•Excellent organizational and time management skills.
•Leadership skills to manage a small team of 2-3 payroll staff, management role
•Experience in payroll supervision and team coordination, management role
