We are seeking a proactive and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team, to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of mobile warehouse storage systems. This hands-on role involves both proactive and reactive maintenance of a wide range of electro-mechanical equipment across a large and dynamic site. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall safety, functionality, and compliance of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned and reactive electro-mechanical maintenance across a variety of machinery and equipment.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.
Support the inspection, servicing, and repair of site systems, infrastructure, and machinery.
Assist in the calibration of fixed and portable temperature monitoring equipment.
Use the maintenance management system to log and track maintenance tasks.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Operate mechanical handling and access equipment such as MEWPs, counterbalance trucks, and extended booms safely and in line with training.
Follow all HSE and company policies, actively promoting a safe working environment and reporting any concerns promptly.
Act as a first responder in the event of fire or ammonia alarms and demonstrate an understanding of relevant safety protocols.
Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and other departments.
Uphold company standards by ensuring all staff adhere to site rules and procedures.
Maintain awareness of site security, report suspicious activity, and challenge unauthorised behavior.
Demonstrate knowledge of glass register procedures, damage reports, incident reporting, and basic HACCP/CCP protocols.
Promote a positive, team-oriented work culture with a 'can do' attitude.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a mechanical and/or electrical maintenance role, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Experience with refrigeration systems is advantageous.

Shift Pattern:
4 on 4 off, 12 hour days (6am-6pm)
