​We are working with a well established and reputable construction group who are seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team. This is a rare start from scratch opportunity, ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, develop, and progress within a supportive environment.

This role sits within a business known for delivering high quality civil engineering, groundworks, and infrastructure projects across the region. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced Quantity Surveyors and commercial managers, gaining hands on exposure to live projects from day one.

Responsibilities:

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will be supported to develop skills across the full project lifecycle, including:

  • Assisting with preparing, negotiating, and analysing costs for tenders and contracts

  • Supporting the measurement and valuation of works on site

  • Maintaining accurate records and assisting with monthly reporting

  • Helping prepare interim applications and final accounts

  • Conducting site visits to monitor progress and work alongside operational teams

  • Providing general commercial support across projects as required

  • Ensuring all work complies with company processes, health and safety requirements, and industry standards

About you:

This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about starting or developing a career in Quantity Surveying.

You may be:

  • A recent graduate in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, or

  • Currently studying part time and looking for an employer to support your development, or

  • A motivated individual with transferable skills who wants to retrain in a commercial construction role

You will:

  • Have strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Possess excellent communication and organisational abilities

  • Be proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

  • Be confident using IT systems, particularly Excel

  • Hold a full UK driving licence or be learning to drive
