We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing  business based in Northallerton. This forward-thinking company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality bespoke joinery solutions and is now looking to expand its team with the addition of a Joinery Design Technician on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of both design and manufacturing processes, who is keen to play a key role in bringing bespoke projects from concept through to production.

Working closely with the workshop team, you will be responsible for translating designs into accurate, production-ready outputs. This is a hands-on role where collaboration and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing detailed manufacturing drawings

  • Creating CNC-ready files for production

  • Interpreting client briefs, drawings, and specifications into workable designs

  • Liaising closely with the workshop team to ensure designs are practical and achievable

  • Supporting problem-solving during the production process and adapting designs where required

  • Ensuring all drawings and files meet manufacturing and quality standards

  • Assisting with material specifications and cutting lists

  • Updating and maintaining design files and project documentation

  • Supporting continuous improvement within design and manufacturing processes

  • Assisting with project timelines to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery

About You:

  • Experience using Cabinet Vision software is highly desirable, but not essential for the right candidate

  • Strong understanding of joinery design and manufacturing processes

  • Ability to produce accurate technical drawings

  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach

  • A proactive and detail-focused mindset

If you’re looking for a role where you can combine design expertise with practical manufacturing knowledge, this could be a great next step.
