​Are you an experienced IT professional looking for your next challenge? Our client, based in Middlesbrough, is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their team.

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving IT infrastructure, implementing solutions, and providing day-to-day IT support. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that values innovation, professional development, and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Oversee IT data security, ensuring industry best practices are implemented

·        Maintain and manage on-site and hosted servers, including security and maintenance

·        Manage the network infrastructure, including security, traffic management, and redundancy

·        Ensure disaster recovery and backup solutions are effectively maintained

·        Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and cost savings

·        Provide first and second-line IT support to business users

·        Track assets and licenses, ensuring compliance and documentation

·        Take ownership of IT projects and liaise with contractors

·        Work collaboratively with Group IT and external providers to resolve technical issues

·        Provide training and guidance to internal teams where required

What We’re Looking For:

·        Strong Windows server and network administration skills (wired & wireless)

·        Experience with Microsoft Azure, 365, Exchange, and SharePoint administration

·        Knowledge of software deployment, Group Policy, and information security best practices

·        Experience with virtualisation, backup systems, and SQL database management

·        ITIL certification or equivalent and relevant Microsoft/Cisco certifications

·        Experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferred)

·        Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills

·        Flexible working hours: Monday – Thursday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM), Friday (8:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
