Title: Interim Operations Lead
We are seeking an Interim Operations Lead in Stockton-on-Tees to join a well-established, growth-focused organisation for a fixed-term contract (with potential for a short extension). This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day operational and administrative functions, ensuring smooth order progression, effective supplier coordination, and business continuity during a transitional period. The position is interim until February, with the possibility of a slight extension if required.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing end-to-end order flow from approval through supplier ordering and delivery
Coordinating suppliers and logistics partners to maintain delivery performance
Acting as the first point of escalation for operational and delivery issues
Providing light-touch oversight of office and administrative activity to ensure business continuity
Maintaining visibility of operational risks, escalating issues clearly and appropriately to senior leadership
Producing simple weekly oversight reporting and ensuring a structured handover at contract end
Key Skills and Experience:
Strong operational coordination experience within order-led, logistics, or distribution-based environments
Calm, structured, and dependable approach, providing stability and continuity during interim periods
Duration: Fixed term (with potential short extension)
Salary: £35,000–£37,500 per annum (DOE)
Location: Office-based, Stockton-on-Tees
