We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established, values-led organisation in the North East seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join them on a part-time, 3-month temporary basis.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role will focus on maintaining core finance and payroll operations, supporting handover and documentation, and ensuring day-to-day financial processes run smoothly during a period of change.
Key Responsibilities
Managing day-to-day finance activities, including payroll, purchase ledger, and expense processing
Preparing and posting journals, accruals, and prepayments
Reconciling accounts, including supplier ledgers, income streams, and credit card transactions
Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and documentation
Supporting handover, process documentation, and identifying any operational risks
Responding to routine finance queries and resolving discrepancies
Carrying out other finance-related tasks as required
Essential:
Experience in Payroll and Purchase Ledger
Hours: 24 per week
Salary: £29,000 to £31,00 FTE
