I am assisting with a client who are based close to Northallerton as they are recruiting for a Business Development Representative to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for increasing the client’s presence in specific locations, focussing on identifying new business opportunities on an outbound basis. Your responsibility involves interacting with clients, comprehending their needs, and overseeing their project from the initial stage to the point of placing an order. Additionally, you'll support the internal sales team during busy periods by handling incoming inquiries.
Responsibilities
Identification of new business opportunities within specific locations
Ensure that target accounts are identified within this space for full transparency across the team
Arrange and attend face-to-face meetings with clients focusing on diary organisation to maximise the number of meetings and minimise costs
Showcase the clients products and services
Attending of networking events
Ensure periodic telephone contact takes place for new clients to ensure maximum output
Assisting the Client Experience Director with large projects where needed
Communicating with suppliers and negotiating pricing
Raising quotations
Closing the first sale
Raising and confirming purchase orders with suppliers
Completing effective project handovers from sales to project management
Communicating with clients post project for project imagery
Assist with inbound enquiries to aid the internal sales team in times of elevated levels of enquiry
Contribute towards the Business Development team’s overall turnover target with the achievement of personal set monthly turnover target
