Bookkeeper/Accounting Technician
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE)
Position: Full-Time / Permanent
The Role
We are an established multi office accountancy practice dedicated to providing exceptional service and proactive advice to our diverse client base. We are looking for an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team based in our office in the heart of Lincoln.
This is a pivotal role where you will manage a variety of bookkeeping and accounting tasks, ensuring our clients’ records are accurate, compliant, and up-to-date. Key Responsibilities
Managing end-to-end bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
Preparing VAT returns.
Assisting in the preparation of year-end accounts and management accounts.
Maintaining accurate digital records and ensuring "clean" data for senior review.
Acting as a point of contact for client queries regarding software and day-to-day finances.
Technical Skills & Requirements
Xero Expert: You must be highly proficient in Xero (Certification is a plus).
Microsoft Office: Strong skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook are essential.
Experience: Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is required.
Iris Accountancy Suite: Experience with Iris is highly desirable but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
Qualifications: AAT Level 3/4 qualified (or equivalent experience).
