​Job Title: Assistant Manager/Accountant – Hybrid

Location: Wakefield

Hours: Full time, 2pm finish on Fridays

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager/Accountant to join a Chartered Certified Accountancy firm based in Wakefield. This role will primarily involve reviewing accounts and be the point of contact within the team for referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, budgets, and forecasts

• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings

• Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

• Assist in financial analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements

• Supporting members of the team with referrals and queries on accounts

Qualifications:

• ACCA or ACA qualified

• Proven experience as an Accountant and supporting a team

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and practices

• Proficiency in accounting software inc Xero, Sage and Excel

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Benefits:

• Salary up to £40,000, depending on experience

• 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays

• 2pm finish on Fridays
