We are working closely with a Thirsk based business who are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join their busy, growing team. Key Responsibilities
Producing month-end financial accounts, including prepayments, accruals, and fixed asset reconciliations
Delivering variance and spend analysis, sharing insights with the Finance Director
Preparing and processing monthly payroll with precision and compliance
Overseeing stock valuation (counts, WIP, and finished goods) and utilities reporting
Running credit checks, monitoring customer accounts, and managing credit control processes
Supervising finance team members, resolving ad hoc issues, and ensuring smooth operations
Supporting HR processes such as monitoring holidays, sickness, and absence reporting
What We’re Looking For:
AAT L4 qualified, CIMA/ACCA part-qualified, or qualified by experience
Experience in a varied finance role (SME experience preferred)
Organised, proactive, and approachable attitude
Confident user of Microsoft Office and Sage 50 Accounts
Driving licence required - occasional commute between offices
