Are you an experienced accounts professional looking for a fresh opportunity in a supportive, client-focused accountancy environment?

A long-established and reputable firm of Chartered Accountants in Huddersfield is currently looking to appoint an Accounts Senior to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and technically strong individual seeking a hands-on role with real client impact.

 

he Role

This role will suit an individual with solid UK practice experience who is confident preparing year-end accounts and tax computations for a wide range of clients. The successful candidate will play a key part in managing client relationships and supporting junior colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

  • Completing corporation tax computations and returns

  • Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing support and training

  • Communicating directly with clients, offering clear and practical advice

  • Ensuring compliance with current accounting standards and HMRC regulations

  • Assisting on ad hoc projects and advisory work as required

 

About You

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)

  • Strong background in a UK accountancy practice

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and taxation principles

  • Confident communicator with good client-facing skills

  • Proficient with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage

  • Able to manage workload independently and meet deadlines effectively
