Salary: £35,000 – £50,000+ (Negotiable depending on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (Office-based)

Our client, a well-established firm based in the Cross Hills area of Keighley (easily commutable from Skipton and Ilkley), is seeking a skilled tax professional to lead and manage a portfolio of tax clients, ensuring full compliance while offering high-quality advisory services. This is a great opportunity to take on a key role within a growing practice, with clear potential for progression.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and companies
Provide proactive tax planning and advisory support to a varied client base
Identify tax-saving opportunities and risk areas in financial statements and reports
Respond to HMRC enquiries and correspondence
Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and assess implications for clients
Work closely with other departments to deliver integrated client solutions
Mentor and support junior team members in the tax department
Represen the firm professionally with clients, HMRC, and other external stakeholders
Requirements:
Previous experience in a tax-focused role within an accountancy practice
Strong understanding of UK tax legislation across personal and corporate tax
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
Strong analytical skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
A relevant professional qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA) is highly desirable
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively within a collaborative team
