We are looking for an experienced Tax Director to join a dynamic accountancy practice in Stockton. This senior role is ideal for a CTA-qualified professional with significant practice experience, who is looking to take a leadership position and advise a portfolio of high-value clients.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a portfolio of corporate and personal clients, providing strategic tax advice.
Deliver expertise in Inheritance Tax planning, company reorganisations, and other complex tax matters.
Oversee preparation and review of corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with UK tax legislation.
Mentor and develop junior and mid-level tax staff.
Keep up to date with UK tax legislation and provide proactive advice to clients.
Work collaboratively with senior colleagues to identify business growth opportunities.
Skills and Experience
CTA qualified (Chartered Tax Adviser) – essential.
Extensive experience working in a UK accountancy practice.
Proven experience with Inheritance Tax planning and company reorganisations.
Strong technical knowledge across corporate and personal tax.
Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
Leadership experience, with ability to mentor and guide junior staff.
