Job Summary:
This role supports the operational efficiency of the Accounts and bookkeeping function and will be responsible for managing workflow processes across teams, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Ability to effectively co-ordinate workflows and priorities across teams, monitoring and tracking the progress of tasks and projects to ensure they are on schedule
Provide regular updates to management on the status of workflows, tasks and processes
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and clients to resolve issues, facilitate collaboration and address any issues
Ensure all Accounts and VAT returns are filed on time
Ensure quality control across all processes and workflows
Achieve reporting deadlines for clients
Review Accounts & VAT returns
Answer non-complex VAT queries
Bookkeeping and accounts preparation as required
Training junior colleagues in accounts and VAT return preparation.

Work experience requirements:
Strong proficiency of accounting software packages including Xero, Sage, Quickbooks and Freeagent
Experience in preparation and review of accounts and VAT returns.
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
Proven experience in workflow supervision or a similar role
Good knowledge of VAT rules
Some income tax knowledge would be useful
