Accounts Semi-senior

An established accountancy practice is looking for an experienced Accounts Semi-Senior to join its growing team. This is a varied, client-facing role offering excellent opportunities for progression.
The Role
You’ll manage a varied portfolio of clients and provide support across accounts, tax and general accounting services.
Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparing corporation tax computations and VAT returns
• Assisting with personal tax matters
• Using Xero, Dext and other cloud accounting software
• Reviewing work and supporting junior team members
• Building strong client relationships and providing practical advice
• Identifying opportunities to add value to clients
• Ensuring work is accurate, compliant and delivered on time
About You
• AAT, ACA, ACCA qualified/part-qualified, or QBE
• Around 3 years’ accountancy practice experience
• Strong accounts preparation experience
• Confident dealing directly with clients and providing advice
• Good knowledge of Xero and accounting software
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Commercial and proactive approach
• Experience with agricultural accounts is desirable but not essential
