Our client is a forward thinking, modern, Chartered Accountants, offering a position where their payroll function offers over 250 clients start to finish payroll services including Auto Enrolment services.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Manager to join our busy payroll team of 8 at the Darlington office. The successful candidate will be able to take advantage of our hybrid working policy which allows you to work from home for up to two days a week.
The key duties of the role are:
To provide an effective and efficient end to end payroll service
To review the work of the payroll team and ensure this is accurate.
To undertake larger payroll duties.
Liaise with clients on payroll matters
To ensure that payroll activities meet legislative and statutory requirements
To assist the Senior Manager with any further duties.
The ideal candidate will:
Have high volume payroll experience gained in a payroll bureau. Practice experience is essential.
Proven experience within a payroll Supervisor/Manager role.
Strong people management skills
Have working knowledge of payroll legislation and implementation of auto enrolment
Have strong communication skills
Be extremely organised
Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines
Be a team player
Have strong IT skills including Excel and Word
Experience of using Sage
