Title: Payroll Clerk/Manager

Hours: Full or Part Time
Salary: £26,000 - £35,000, depending on experience
We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Clerk/Manager to join a Practice in Harrogate. This role involves preparing varied payrolls accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll preparation, with the ability to work either full-time or part-time (3-4 days a week).
Accountancy Practice or dealing with large/varied payrolls is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and process payroll for clients of various sizes
• Ensure accurate calculations of wages, deductions, and withholdings.
• Handle payroll discrepancies and resolve payroll-related issues promptly.
• Maintain payroll records and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure payroll processes align with organizational goals.
• Stay updated with payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role.
• Proficiency in payroll software and systems
• Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Leadership skills to manage a small team of 2-3 payroll staff, management role
• Experience in payroll supervision and team coordination, management role
