Finance Assistant, Wetherby, £24-30,000
Part Time – 3 days per week, Temporary to Permanent
Do you have an Accounts background and are confident with using excel?Are you available to start on a temporary basis?
Our client is looking for a Finance Assistant to join a small, fast paced team working closely with the Group Management Accountant.You will be responsible for supporting finance operations, analysis, and reporting and have responsibility for managing the purchase and sales ledgers across the Group including existing and new debtors, bank reconciliations, supporting with payroll administration, and other account reconciliation activities.
Experience as a Finance Assistant
Excellent use of Excel for accounting to an advanced level (essential)
AAT qualified (desirable)
Knowledge of Xero (desirable)
The ability to adapt to evolving situations and challenges.
Excellent time management skills
Working with the Group Management Accountant to ensure effective cash flow management.
Manage the Group purchase ledger by consolidating purchase invoices weekly.
Manage the Group sales ledger by producing and distributing sales invoices.
Perform bank reconciliations and clear any reconciling items.
Support with preparation and processing of payroll.
Checking and posting of receipts to accounting systems
Preparation of statements.
Propose, recommend, and implement process and system improvements.
This role will be on a temporary to permanent basis and can also be on a contract basis.
