Part-Time | Edinburgh | Accountancy Practice

I am currently working with an established Accountancy Practice in Edinburgh that is looking to appoint an experienced Part-Time Qualified Accountant to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant with previous Accountancy Practice experience who is looking for a flexible part-time position within a well-established and professional firm.

The Role

  • Working closely with the wider team and directly with clients, you will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients and provide a high-quality accounting service.

  • Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

  • Preparing management accounts and financial information.

  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.

  • Preparing personal and business tax returns.

  • Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact.

  • Liaising directly with clients and dealing with day-to-day accounting queries.

  • Providing accounting and financial advice to clients where appropriate.

  • Ensuring all client work is completed accurately and within required deadlines.

  • Maintaining strong and effective client relationships.

  • Working closely with colleagues across the practice.

  • Supporting the wider team with general practice duties and ad hoc assignments.

About You

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified ACA or ACCA Accountant with previous experience working within an Accountancy Practice.

You will ideally have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification.

  • Previous experience within an Accountancy Practice.

  • Strong experience preparing accounts for a range of clients.

  • Good knowledge of UK accounting and tax requirements.

  • Experience dealing directly with clients.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • The ability to manage your own workload and work independently.

  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
