An established and growing accountancy practice is looking to recruit a Part Qualified Audit Senior to join its expanding audit team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone studying towards their ACA or ACCA qualification who is looking to develop their technical expertise, gain greater responsibility and progress their career within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.

Working with a varied portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, you'll play an integral role in delivering audit assignments while continuing to build your experience and professional qualifications.

The Role

  • Assist in managing audit assignments from planning through to completion.

  • Carry out audit fieldwork both on-site and remotely for a broad portfolio of clients.

  • Prepare audit working papers and supporting documentation to a high standard.

  • Work closely with Audit Managers and Partners to ensure assignments are delivered efficiently and within deadlines.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to queries in a professional and timely manner.

  • Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and other compliance work where required.

  • Support and mentor junior members of the team, sharing knowledge and providing guidance where appropriate.

  • Utilise modern audit software and technology to deliver accurate and efficient audit services.

  • Keep up to date with changes in accounting and auditing standards while continuing your professional studies.

About You

  • Currently studying towards ACA or ACCA.

  • At least two years' experience within an external audit role in an accountancy practice.

  • Experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses.

  • Good understanding of UK accounting and auditing principles.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with clients.

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and experience using audit software.

  • A proactive, positive attitude with a genuine desire to continue learning and developing.

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites when required.
