We are currently working with a very successful business based out of Newton Aycliffe who are looking to add a Fleet Engineer to its team.
Within the role you will be expected to carry out the following:
Work closely with colleagues on maintenance scheduling and as part of established defecting and damage processes.
Thoroughly investigate any MOT failure or Vehicle Prohibition Notice, collating findings and recommendations reports.
Responsible for the procurement of new equipment, refurbishment of existing equipment and the sale of equipment no longer required.
Managing vehicle returns at the end of lease/spot rental checking paperwork recording vehicle condition etc.
Management of vehicle taxation and road-toll accounts.
To be considered for the position you must hold some, if not all, of the following skills/qualifications:
A background in mechanical engineering with HGV or PCV vehicle qualifications
Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence
Previous fleet management or maintenance experience
Strong IT and analytical skills
The ability to build and manage relationships with suppliers
Strong knowledge of HGV MOT Testing Standards
